WSOC: Dunn's seven-point weekend earns Player of the Week honours

Fourth-year scored twice and recorded five assists in two matches

VANCOUVER - Trinity Western Spartans forward Anna Dunn was named the Canada West Women's Soccer Player of the Week Monday after racking up seven points over the weekend.

Dunn scored a pair of goals and racked up five assists in a pair of Trinity Western wins on the road against the UNBC Timberwolves.

The Edmonton, Alta. native opened the scoring in the 20th minute of Friday's 6-0 win with her first marker of the season. Dunn then assisted on the next two Trinity Western scores, and added another goal to the score sheet in the 57th minute. On Saturday, Dunn was a key part of the Spartans attack early, assisting on the first two goals of the match, before adding a third assist late in the match.

Dunn will move forward as the CW nominee for the U SPORTS Athlete of the Week.

The West Division leading Spartans (4-0-0) will host the Fraser Valley Cascades (0-0-2) for a pair of games this weekend. The matches on both Friday and Saturday kick off at 5:00 p.m. PT and can be viewed live on Canada West TV presented by Co-op.
