Dec. 5, 2023 – Teams from across Canada West entered the final weekend of the fall semester with heavy hearts, following a heartbreaking tragedy earlier in the week involving three student-athletes from the Thompson Rivers University men’s volleyball team.

Nov. 28, 2023 – The fall semester is beginning to wind down, but the action has only continued to heat up across the conference. This past weekend was highlighted by swimmers Alexanne Lepage and Stephen Calkins thrilling the hometown fans at the CW Swimming Championships in Calgary, as well as the UBC Thunderbirds football team competing on the national stage in the 2023 Vanier Cup. Nov. 27, 2023 - After 22 events on each side and three days in the pool, the University of Calgary Dinos men and the UBC Thunderbirds women were crowned the 2023 Canada West Swimming Champions Sunday afternoon inside the UCalgary Aquatic Centre.

Nov. 23, 2023 - The best swimmers from across Canada West are ready to descend on southern Alberta for the 2023 CW Swimming Championships, to be hosted by the University of Calgary Dinos from Nov. 24-26.

Nov. 21, 2023 – As the Canada West schedule hits mid-November, the action continues to heat up across the four western provinces. In Vancouver, the UBC Thunderbirds won the 2023 Mitchell Bowl with a big effort over AUS champion St. Francis Xavier, booking their spot in the 2023 Vanier Cup next Saturday. The weekend also saw lots of great action at the rink and on the court, including a jaw dropping performance from Manitoba's Raya Surinx, who notched an incredible eight service aces in a single game. Nov. 9, 2023 - Alberta running back Matthew Peterson has been named the 2023 CW Football Player of the Year after leading a resurgent Golden Bears team back to the playoffs with their best regular season record since 2005.

Nov. 7, 2023 – It was another busy crossover weekend in Canada West, highlighted by conference championship wins for Trinity Western University women's soccer and Mount Royal University men's soccer. On the national stage, Victoria women's rugby claimed their first U SPORTS medal in program history while the Vikes field hockey team captured its fifth straight national title with a series win over Toronto. With 13 student-athletes to recognize, the Canada West Universities Athletic Association is proud to announce its Players of the Week.
