WBB: Playoff Matchups and Schedule

SSK, UFV, ALB, UBC to host play-in round

Feb. 16, 2025 - 12 teams are ready to begin the hunt for the Valerie Girsberger Trophy as the 2025 Canada West women's basketball postseason begins next Friday night.

The defending champion Saskatchewan Huskies (18-2) have home court advantage throughout the playoffs, securing top spot in the Prairie Division after going on a torrid 18 game winning streak to end the season.

All playoff games will be single elimination. Play-in and quarterfinal rounds will take place at four different host sites, including Saskatchewan, Fraser Valley, UBC and Alberta.

UBC (18-2) topped the Pacific Division, with the Cascades (15-5) finishing right behind the T-Birds. Alberta (18-2) were second in the Prairie Division, finishing just behind the Huskies on a tiebreaker.

GAME: G: Saturday, Feb. 22 – 4 p.m. – Winner (Game C) vs #2 UBC Thunderbirds

GAME D: Friday, Feb. 21 – 2 p.m. – #9 Mount Royal Cougars vs #8 Trinity Western Spartans

GAME H: Saturday, Feb. 22 – 7 p.m. – Winner (Game D) vs #1 Saskatchewan Huskies
