Gobeil named conference's Women's Basketball Player of the Week

WINNIPEG – Fraser Valley’s Maddy Gobeil was named the Canada West Women’s Basketball Player of Week by the conference on Tuesday.

Gobeil posted a Canada West / U SPORTS season-best eight steals against the UBCO Heat on Sunday, while leading her team to its fifth-straight victory.

She now leads Canada West and U SPORTS in steals per game at 3.6.

Gobeil showed off her defensive prowess on the boards as well, grabbing 23 rebounds over two games this weekend, posting double-doubles in the back-to-back.
