SOC: Champions Harvey, McKay earn weekly honours
Duo help Spartans, T-Birds win conference titles

VANCOUVER - After helping their respective teams to Canada West titles at their respective championships, Trinity Western's Kathryn Harvey and UBC's Bennett McKay were named Soccer Players of the Week on Monday.
Harvey was the Spartans' lone goal scorer at the Final Four hosted by Trinity Western this weekend.
The fourth-year forward's two goals could not have been any more important for the undefeated hosts. Trinity Western won its ninth Canada West title in program history with a pair of 1-0 wins.
With a tightly contested final match looking like it may need extra time, Harvey scored in the 88th minute of Saturday's championship against UBC sending the home crowd into a frenzy at Langley's Chase Office Field.
The Coquitlam, B.C. native also scored the only goal of the match in Friday's 1-0 semifinal win against Saskatchewan.

A day earlier, the Delta, B.C. product made seven stops against the host Mount Royal squad that finished first in the Central Division.
McKay and the T-Birds will head to the U SPORTS national championship having allowed just one goal in the past four matches.
