RUGBY: First-year centre leads Vikes in championship-clinching tournament
VIC's Bethany Cudmore posts four tries in year's final tournament to earn Player of the Week honours

CALGARY - Victoria's Bethany Cudmore was named the Canada West Rugby Player of the Week by the conference Tuesday.
The first-year centre posted four tries for 20 points in the team's final tournament of the season. Her efforts helped Victoria complete a spotless season as they cemented their reign as Canada West's Rugby 7's champions.
With the tournament win, Victoria secured the CW Championships for the fourth straight year (with one season disrupted due to COVID-19).
Cudmore played a key role in this feat, making an impact every time she was called upon over the weekend. She created scoring opportunities for both herself and her teammates with her speed, power and toughness. The Barrie, ON product's fearless and relentless play was a difference-maker for the Vikes.
The 2021-2022 Canada West Rugby 7's season is now complete, but the first year and her team will look to get back to work next winter.
