RUGBY: Bauder's performance earns Player of the Week honours

Bauder's tries come at crucial times for UBC

VANCOUVER - Savannah Bauder came up big when the UBC Thunderbirds needed it most on Sunday, as the conference's rugby Player of the Week racked up three tries in a UBC win.

Down eight late in the first half against the visiting Calgary Dinos, Bauder's first of three tries on the day helped close the halftime deficit to three, at 20-17.

The second-year fly half also added a pair of conversions in the win.

UBC (3-0) will enjoy a weekend off before hosting the Lethbridge Pronghorns (2-1) on October 14.
