MSOC: UFV forward helps Cascades close out regular season in style
Richardson named CW Player of the Week

CALGARY – Fraser Valley's Taylor Richardson was named the Canada West Men's Soccer Player of the Week by the conference on Tuesday.
Richardson started his weekend with a bang, sparing no time in helping his team get on the board with a beautiful assist in the first minute of Friday evening's game. Richardson stole the ball from the UNBC defender, before placing it perfectly over to teammate Charandeep Rangi.
UFV would go on to lose the game thanks to three scores by the Timberwolves, but Richardson helped his team bounce back Sunday.
Up 1-0 in the second half, Richardson rushed the net to get his head on a pass from outside the box, tucking home the assurance marker to end the Cascades' regular season on a winning note. Richardson's eighth goal of the year ties him for third in the conference.
He and the Cascades are now gearing up for the playoffs. They will travel to Calgary to take on the Mount Royal Cougars in the CW Quarterfinals on Saturday at 3 p.m. local time. You can catch the action exclusively on Canada West TV.
