MHKY: Two weekend games postponed

Men's hockey games involving GMU, ALB, TWU and UBC postponed to February 19

CALGARY - Two men's hockey games originally scheduled for this weekend will be postponed to Saturday, February 19, Canada West announced Tuesday.

The postponements come as a result of playoff schedule changes and mutual agreements between participating schools.

The Alberta Golden Bears were slated to host the MacEwan Griffins on Friday, while the UBC Thunderbirds were to welcome the Trinity Western Spartans on Saturday. Those games are now penned in for February 19, both at 7 p.m.

The Griffins will still host the Bears this Saturday at the Downtown Community Arena, with puck drop slated for 5 p.m. The Friday match-up between the Thunderbirds and Spartans will also go ahead as planned at the Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre at 7 p.m.
