Feb. 16, 2025 - The battle for the Stan Broder Trophy is ready to begin, with 12 contenders advancing to the 2025 Canada West men's basketball postseason.

Expect the intensity to ramp up with single elimination games the rest of the way until a champion is decided.

Three-time defending conference champion Victoria are ready to defend their title, completing a perfect 20-0 regular season after a sweep of UBCO last season. They'll have home court advantage throughout the playoffs as the top Pacific Division seed.

It was a fierce finish atop the Prairie Division, with Calgary, Winnipeg and Manitoba all finishing with 16-4 records.

Sneaking into the postseason, the Brandon Bobcats authored an incredible comeback story to claim the 12th and final seed. The Bobcats started the season 1-6, but won three of their last four games to earn their spot.

The play-in and quarterfinal rounds will take place at four different host sites, including Victoria, UBC, Manitoba and Calgary.

Fans can follow the action with all men's basketball playoff games streaming on Canada West TV - Powered by BioSteel.
