MBB: Heroic performances end five teams' seasons
Here's your full round two recap

CALGARY - Cinderella stories, jet-fueled individual performances, and come-from-behind heroics marked Round Two of the Canada West Men's Basketball Playoffs.
The University of Lethbridge hosted three games of the second round Friday while the University of Calgary was the site for two.
BDN vs SSK: After a momentous win over UNBC Thursday, the Brandon Bobcats saw their season come to an end Friday thanks to the 4th-ranked Saskatchewan Huskies. The Huskies fired on all cylinders, dialing their compete level up to 100 in the 101-76 shellacking of the Bobcats. Saskatchewan mounted a first-half 16-point lead that they only added to in the final frames. Full game recap here.
UFV vs WPG: The eight-nine match-up on the bracket was all it was billed to be. Two evenly matched teams faced each other for the first time this season, with the Eastern competitor Winnipeg Wesmen more effectively figuring out their opponent than the Fraser Valley Cascades. UFV built themselves a nice 16-point buffer before the Wesmen chipped away, seizing control of the game in the final minute of action. Full game recap here.
MRU vs UBC: The 12th-ranked Mount Royal Cougars overcame a 14-point halftime deficit to take the lead with three minutes to play in this playoff thriller. The 5th-ranked UBC Thunderbirds had 180 seconds to save their season, and rose to the occassion, earning a hard-fought victory 77-72. Full game recap here.
UBCO vs LETH: The UBCO Heat's cinderella story came to end Friday, but not without a valiant effort. The 17th-ranked seed on the bracket looked to make its second straight upset as they led the Lethbridge Pronghorns by eight early in the third. The Pronghorns used the fuel from their hometown crowd to surmount the deficit in an electric game. Full recap here.
TWU vs CGY: And just like that, the hometown Calgary Dinos saw their season come to a crushing end as the Trinity Western Spartans rode a historic performance from guard Mason Bourcier. The Jack Simpson Gym rocked with energy, but it was no matter for the Spartans, who silenced them with a dynamic performance. Full game recap here.
