Yaremko vaults to top of scoring race

VANCOUVER - Mount Royal forward Nolan Yaremko raked up six points in a pair of road games, while UBC goaltender Elise Hugens was nearly unbeatable in net for the Thunderbirds on the weekend.

Yaremko had his best weekend of the season on the road against the Manitoba Bisons, vaulting him to the top of the conference's scoring race.

Yaremko had a hand in all four Mount Royal goals in Friday's 4-1 win, scoring twice and assisting on two other goals.

On Saturday, the Spirit River, Alta. product tallied twice more in a 5-4 overtime defeat.
