HKY: CGY forward sets record, SSK goalie near perfect
Calgary's Joseph, Saskatchewan's Drever named CW Players of the Week

CALGARY – Calgary's Jadon Joseph and Saskatchewan's Camryn Drever were named the Canada West Hockey Players of the Week by the conference on Tuesday.
Joseph is a new Canada West record holder after a jaw-dropping performance in the Dinos' game against his former team, the Trinity Western Spartans Saturday.
The first-year redshirted with the Spartans before lacing up with the Dinos this season, burning his former team with three goals in a minute and thirty-six seconds, the fastest hat trick in CW history.
Joseph netted his first off a Jake Gricius slap shot, which he redirected in front to restore the Dinos' two-goal lead. Before arena staff could finish announcing his first goal, Joseph fired a quick wrist shot that beat the Spartans' goalie five-hole for his second of the night.
Then less than a minute later, Joseph tucked away his third of evening, finding space out front and redirecting a pass to the back of the net.
Joseph's mark of 1:36 handedly beat the previous record of 5:17 set by Mount Royal's Connor Rankin in 2016. His efforts helped the Dinos to two wins on the weekend, pushing them up to third in the conference.
He and the Dinos will be back on the ice Friday and Saturday, when they host Alberta at 7 p.m. MST both nights. You can catch the action exclusively on Canada West TV.

Nov. 19: 3 goals in 5-2 W at TWU
Meanwhile, Camryn Drever showed she's in top form this weekend, helping her team to a split with the then-league leading Mount Royal Cougars.
The Saskatchewan Huskie stonewalled the Cougars Friday, keeping every one of their 31 shots out. The fourth-year goaltender had an answer for everything Mount Royal threw at her. Her efforts proved instrumental as the Huskies took the game 1-0 to improve to 8-4-2 on the season.
Drever was again impressive against the Cougars' high-powered offence Saturday, allowing just one on 24 shots for a .958 save percentage. This time, the Huskies fell short 1-0.
Drever and the Huskies will be back in action Friday and Saturday as they travel to take on the Manitoba Bisons at 7 p.m. and 3 p.m. CST respectively. You can catch the games exclusively on Canada West TV.
