FH: VIC rookie goes off in weekend match-ups

Chloe Langkammer earns CW Player of the Week honours

CALGARY – Victoria's Chloe Langkammer was named the Canada West Field Hockey Player of the Week by the conference on Tuesday.

Langkammer showed off her field hockey IQ, always finding an open spot at the right moment to put home her first two goals against Calgary on Saturday. She then slipped a shot from the right-hand side in to record a hat trick in the team's 8-0 victory over the Dinos.

She didn't miss a beat Sunday, opening the scoring by putting it past three Dinos defenders. She added another for good measure as the Vikes took the rematch 7-0.

Langkammer and the Vikes will be back in action on October 22 and 23 as they head to UBC for the final weekend of conference play, to determine a CW champ. Both games are set for 11 a.m.
