Miranda Yee earns CW Player of the Week honours

CALGARY – British Columbia's Miranda Yee was named the Canada West Field Hockey Player of the Week by the conference on Tuesday.

Yee scored the sole goal in a tight, back-and-forth match with Calgary Saturday in the team's home opener.

Her 10-foot score gave the T-Birds their third win on the season, improving them to 3-1-1.

She and the Thunderbirds will be back in action on October 22 and 23 as they host the Victoria Vikes at 11 a.m. both days.
