FH: Third-year goalie collects pair of shutouts in perfect start

Hannah Rumble earns CW Player of the Week honours

CALGARY – British Columbia's Hannah Rumble was named the Canada West Field Hockey Player of the Week by the conference on Tuesday.

Rumble was the picture of consistency over the weekend, as the Thunderbirds shut out the Calgary Dinos for a pair of wins.

Rumble backstopped the team to victory in both games, stopping every shot she faced in a couple spirited, back-and-forth affairs. Her play was essential in the T-Birds' 2-0 start, as they took the first game 2-0 and the second 1-0.

Rumble and the Thunderbirds will be back in action on September 24 and 25 as they travel to Victoria for games at 11 a.m. both days.

Game log:
Sept. 17: 0GA in 2-0 W at CGY
Sept. 18: 0GA in 1-0 W at CGY
