FH: Second-year forward continues to climb in the west
Nora Struchtrup earns CW Player of the Week honours

CALGARY – Victoria's Nora Struchtrup was named the Canada West Field Hockey Player of the Week by the conference on Tuesday.
This is the second time in three weeks Struchtrup has taken home the honour.
The second-year forward continues to take the west by storm, netting two goals in two games this weekend.
Her first was a thing of beauty. To get the Vikes on the board Saturday, she stole the ball from UBC defenders before tucking it away past the Thunderbirds' keeper for her fifth on the season.
Her goal proved paramount, as the team drew with UBC 1-1. Struchtrup further displayed her scoring touch in the shootout, putting one away in the third round, before UBC ultimately earned the extra point.
Struchtrup added another goal off a penalty corner in the teams' rematch Sunday, for her league-leading sixth of the year. That matches her total from 2021 with four games left on the Vikes' schedule.
She and the Vikes will be back in action on October 15 and 16 as they host the Calgary Dinos at 11 a.m. both days.
Game log:
Sept. 24: 1 goal in 1-1 D vs UBC
Sept. 25: 1 goal in 4-1 W vs UBC
