FB: Weekly coaches call returns August 29

EDMONTON – Every week during the 2018 Canada West football season, conference coaches preparing for the Canada West Football Showcase will be available to the media on Wednesdays.

The first CW coaches conference call of 2018 is set for Wednesday, August 29 beginning at 11 a.m. MT. Head coaches Wayne Harris (Calgary), Steve Bryce (Regina), Chris Morris (Alberta), and Scott Flory (Saskatchewan) will be available.

In previous seasons, all six conference football coaches were available on the call, but this season the call will only feature the coaches from that week’s Canada West Football Showcase game(s).

Media interested in speaking with coaches not featured in that week’s Showcase game(s) can contact the SID at the respective school directly to schedule interviews with coaches, or student-athletes. A contact list for CW football SIDs is listed below.

The 2018 Canada West football season kicks off Friday, August 31 with a pair of Showcase games, as Regina hosts Calgary (7 p.m. CST), and Saskatchewan welcomes Alberta (7 p.m. CST).
