Dinos' Philpot brothers take spots two and five

WINNIPEG - Canada West athletes have made strong impressions on CFL scouts, according to the latest prospect list released by the Scouting Bureau.

Eight of the top 16 athletes are CW products.

At the top of the class are twin brothers Jalen Philpot and Tyson Philpot, both receivers for the Calgary Dinos, who ranked two and five respectively.

Jalen posted 35 receptions for 715 yards this past season, while Tyson recorded 41 passes for 746 yards and led both Canada West and U SPORTS in touchdown receptions with nine. Tyson earned the CW Player of the Year award, and both brothers were named U SPORTS first team All-Canadians.

Saskatchewan's Noah Zerr, Alberta's Peter Kozushka, Alberta's Jayden Dalke, Saskatchewan's Adam Machart, and Alberta's Josiah Schakel took spots 10-14, followed closely by Saskatchewan's Nathan Cherry at 16.
