FB: 23 Canada West student-athletes to feature in 2024 U SPORTS East-West Bowl
Game to be hosted by University of Waterloo on May 11
May 10, 2024 – A total of 23 football student-athletes from Canada West will have a chance to shine on the national stage this Saturday at the 2024 U SPORTS East-West Bowl in Waterloo, Ont.
The annual showcase event features the top 100 Canadian university football players eligible for the 2025 CFL Draft as they look to showcase their skills to coaches, general managers, and personnel from the Canadian Football League.
All six Canada West programs will be represented at the event, which will be hosted by the University of Waterloo at Warrior Field. A minimum of three players in their third or fourth year from each of the 27 U SPORTS football programs will be featured in the game.
The sidelines will also feature Canada West flavour with UBC Thunderbirds head coach Blake Nill leading Team West.

Canada West representatives at 2024 East-West Bowl
Team West will feature 22 Canada West student-athletes, while Alberta LB Chase Tataryn will be the sole CW product to suit up for Team East. The Golden Bears as well as the Saskatchewan Huskies will each feature five student-athletes at the game, while the Manitoba Bisons will send four representatives including QB Jackson Tachinski. The Regina Rams, Calgary Dinos and UBC Thunderbirds will be sending three players each.
