WHKY: Playoff Matchups and Quarterfinal Schedule

Quarterfinal matchups feature TWU at MAN, REG at MRU

Feb. 16, 2025 - The matchups are set. Bring on the Canada West women's hockey postseason!

All six playoff teams had already secured their berths entering the final regular season weekend, but the battle for playoff positioning left plenty of intrigue.

When the dust settled, Manitoba secured home ice advantage for next weekend's quarterfinals and will face off against an upstart Trinity Western side.

It'll be a Battle of the Cougars in the other quarterfinal, with Mount Royal hosting Regina.

Both Alberta and UBC had already clinched their divisions entering the weekend, earning first round byes. The race for first overall in the conference came down to the final day, however, and it was the T-Birds who secured home ice advantage throughout the entire CW playoffs with a sweep of Calgary. UBC also recorded a Canada West record 25th win in the process.

The T-Birds will host the winner of Manitoba and TWU in their semifinal, while the Pandas will welcome the winner of Regina and MRU.

All Canada West playoff series are best-of-three, with all games hosted by the higher seed.
