CW announces 2026 Rugby 7s All-Star Teams
Champion UBC Thunderbirds top list with five selections

March 12, 2026 - Canada West has announced its 2026 Rugby 7s All-Star teams, headlined by five selections from the season champion UBC Thunderbirds.
The T-Birds captured their fourth straight Rugby 7s banner, winning two of the three tournament stops while compiling a sparkling 14-1 record.
Kiki Idowu and Adia Pye repeated as First Team All-Stars and were joined by Rachel Smith, who was a Second Team selection last season. Scrum-half Piper Logan was also named to the First Team, while Lana Dueck earned her second straight Second Team nod.
After another silver medal performance, the Victoria Vikes placed a pair of players on each All-Star team. Maggie MacKinnon and Ivy Poetker led the way on the First Team, while Kyla Warren and Olivia Newsome were named to the Second Team.
Trinity Western's Ava Van Santen continued to impress, earning First Team All-Star honours for the third straight season. The fourth-year Spartan led TWU to a second straight bronze medal finish and has now been named an All-Star in all four seasons of her career. Her teammate Kelsa Kempf was also named to the Second Team following a dynamic campaign.
The Calgary Dinos were represented by a pair of Second Team selections, including Bomi Lawal and Makayla Joseph, while Millie Teskey was the sole Lethbridge representative, rounding out the Second Team.
